RXRX 506. Introduction to Pharmacy Leadership. 1 Unit.
Offers academic credit for activities related to leadership development associated with the California Pharmacy Student Leadership Program. Strengthens leadership behavior. Students invited to take part in this program must register for this course and complete it as a condition of their participation. May be repeated once for a maximum of 2 units.
Prerequisite: Permission of the Office of Student Affairs; PY-1 Spring Quarter professional year standing.
RXRX 508. The Role of Pharmacists in the Pharmaceutical Industry. 2 Units.
This course is open to PY2 to PY4 students only. The overall goal of this course is to expand the student’s knowledge about the role of pharmacists in pharmaceutical industry and to prepare students for careers in pharmaceutical industry. This course will be presented by industry experts through the Accreditation Council for Medical Affairs. At the end of the course all students will receive the Accreditation Council for Medical Affairs (ACMA) recognized certificate of competence.
RXRX 510. Wellness. 2 Units.
Focusing on the emotional, physical, occupational, intellectual, financial, social, environmental, and spiritual domains of wellness, this course prepares students to embody wholeness in their lives, fostering a more complete approach to patient care. Students will engage in experiential activities within the various domains. Group discussions and written reflections on these experiences will allow students to build individualized wellness strategies to contribute to their personal well-being.
RXRX 520. Pharmacy Success Preparation. 1.5 Unit.
Introduces first-year pharmacy students to essential academic and professional skills for success. Through interactive sessions, reflections, and a pharmacy visit, students explore study and time management strategies, career paths, professionalism, and financial planning while developing early professional identity.
RXRX 521. Pharmacy Success I. 5 Units.
A longitudinal course sequence (PI–PIII) focused on professional growth, including communication, self-assessment, career development, and NAPLEX preparation. Develops skills, behaviors, and habits needed for practice-ready pharmacists.

This asynchronous online course explores how identity, systems of influence, ethics, and opportunity shape professional behavior and decision-making in healthcare, with a focus on pharmacy practice.
RXRX 725. Access, Outcomes, & Healthcare Gaps. 1 Unit.
This asynchronous online course examines relationships among healthcare access, healthcare delivery systems, patient outcomes, and population health. Students evaluate barriers affecting quality of care and develop evidence-based approaches to improve healthcare delivery and reduce healthcare gaps within pharmacy practice and broader health systems.
RXRX 726. Principles of Community Engagement. 1 Unit.
Applies concepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the context of community engagement by the preparation of a proposal for a student-managed project addressing a healthcare need within the San Bernardino Community.
RXRX 730. Leadership in Pharmacy Education: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. 2 Units.
Applies concepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the context of community engagement by preparation of a proposal for a student-managed project that addresses a health-care need within a community of the student’s choice.
RXRX 798. Independent Study with Faculty. 1-4 Units.
Development of an individual research or project. Includes: description of the research or project; associated budget; and, assessment methods. May be repeated for a total of 4 units toward the 9-unit elective requirement.
